The 63rd independence day celebrations were held with pomp and gaiety at the Milan premises.The day started off with the flag hoisting by the members of the Trust unfurling the flag followed by the Song - Saare Jaha Se Accha ,Hindu seta hamare sung by all the Milan members.A small speech on the Jalian Wala Incident was give by the Trust Board President Shri Visanji Virji Ganger.The Ladies in the white with colour dresses and the kids with Indian flags in their hands added colour to the ocassion.The ceremony ended with the National anthem being sung with a high pitched Jai Hind by the children at the end.
A Breakfast of Idli- Vadai and halwa followed sponsored by the Trust Board.Following which the three competitions in keeping with the independence day theme were held on the first floor hall.It was a little disheartening to know that members of the Yuva Vibhag were conspicuous by their absence.
